To capture streaming audio, you must open the Audacity program and navigate to the preference settings. In most cases, you’ll use Built-in input as your input option. Play the Audio and Record. Audacity is a free streaming audio recorder with editing features, recording both system audio and using a microphone. It is handy if you do not have a Stereo Mix option on your computer. That said, you will have to configure the software to record if you use it for other purposes.
